What is resin?
Rosin or Rosin, as you wish, refers to an extraction process that uses a combination of heat and pressure to almost instantly squeeze the resinous sap from the initial starting material. The term “rosin” was born as a method to make a product used to create friction with violin strings. With cannabis, this method is incredibly versatile in that it can be used with flowers or to clean up hash and kief in a fully melted hash oil. The result is a translucent, faded and sometimes shattered product. If done correctly, rosin can compete with the flavor, potency and yield of other solvent-based extraction products.

In other words, it is essentially falling apart without solvents when using this process.
